Breakfast Sausage Sandwich with Sweet Earth® Breakfast Sausage Patties

  • Sweet Earth® Breakfast Sausage Patty -- 1 ea
  • Everything bagel -- 1 ea
  • Neutral oil -- 2 tsp
  • Hash browns -- 3 oz
  • Vegan American cheese -- 2 slices

    Cut bagel in half and toast to preference.

    In a sauté pan over medium heat, add oil and hash browns. Cook until golden brown, then using a spatula, flip and cook on the other side and season with salt and black pepper. Remove from the pan and set aside.

    In the same sauté pan, add oil and breakfast sausage. Cook until caramelized, then flip and cook on the other side until golden brown. Add the cheese slice and let melt.

    Build the sandwich: on a clean work surface place the heel of the bagel toasted side up. Add hash browns, then add the sausage patty, the crown of the bagel toasted side down and serve immediately.
