Chai Coffee

  • NESCAFÉ Taster's Choice House Blend 100% Pure Instant Coffee Granules -- 4 tsp
  • Hot water -- 1/2 cup
  • Granulated sugar -- 2-3 tsp
  • Quarter-size slices of peeled fresh ginger -- 2
  • Whole black peppercorns -- 8
  • Ground cardamom -- 1/2 tsp
  • Ground cinnamon -- 1/8 tsp
  • Lowfat milk -- 1 cup
Preparation

Combine water, coffee granules, sugar, ginger, peppercorns, cardamom and cinnamon in small container. Let sit for 3 minutes.

Place milk in microwave-safe pitcher.

Microwave on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute, 30 seconds or until very hot.

Strain coffee mixture into pitcher; discard spices.

Divide between 2 mugs.
Tip:

Use cold milk in place of hot and serve over ice for an Iced Chai Coffee.
