Smoky Tomato Sauce

Pork bacon, raw, diced 0.5 cup
Onions, raw, diced 1 cup
Carrots, raw, diced 0.5 cup
Garlic, minced 1 tbsp
White wine 1 cup
Tomato puree 1.25 qt
Maggi Seasoning 6 x 27 fluid ounces 2 tbsp


  1. Render bacon over medium heat until crispy.
  2. Add onions, carrots and garlic, and sweat over medium heat.
  3. Deglaze with white wine and reduce 7/8.
  4. Add tomato purée and Liquid Seasoning and simmer.

Use sauce just as you would use any marinara sauce.
