Preparation

Ingredients

Margarine, or Butter 0.75 cup
All purpose flour 1.3 cup
Water, hot 3.5 qt
Minor's Chicken Base 12 x 1 pound 3 oz
Tomatoes, canned with juice, small diced 14.5 oz
Tomato paste 1.3 cup
Granulated sugar 5 tbsp
Salt 2 tsp
Cream, heavy whipping 8.5 oz

Method

  1. In an 8 qt. sauce pot, melt margarine or butter. Blend in flour. Cook 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  2. Add water, Chicken Base, tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar and salt. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and gently boil 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add cream, mixing well. Heat to a gentle boil, stirring frequently.
