Home-Style Chicken and Macaroni Soup

Ingredients

Water 2 qt
Macaroni 1 cup
Margarine, or butter 2 tbsp
Onion, medium diced 1 cup
Celery, medium diced 1 cup
Cooked chicken, meat only, small diced 8 oz
Carrot, raw, shedded 4 oz
Minor's Chicken Base 6 x 1 pound 2.5 tbsp
Green bean 6 oz

Method

  1. In a sauce pot, combine margarine or butter, onions, carrots and celery. Sauté 3 minutes until tender.
  2. Add water and Chicken Base. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add macaroni, chicken meat, and green beans. Heat to a gentle boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and gently boil 5-8 minutes until pasta is tender.
