Sustainably Responsible Brands


Nestlé pledges to transform all of its sites worldwide to zero-waste-to-landfill facilities by 2020. As of 2017, 47 of 77 facilities in the U.S. are zero-landfill. This includes the Minor’s factory in Cleveland, Ohio. It produces flavorful bases and sauces, while maintaining socially responsible operations.

The cocoa supply chain has many environmental and social challenges. Since Nestlé buys around 414,000 tons of cocoa annually, it developed the Nestlé Cocoa Plan. The approach helps improve the lives of cocoa farmers and the quality of their products, while also assuring a sustainable cocoa supply for products like Nestlé Hot Cocoa.
